my sweet darling littles

Thursday

spiritually speaking... on the upcoming children's album

I am an orphan on God's highway
But I'll share my troubles if you go my way
I have no mother no father
No sister no brother
I am an orphan girl

I have had friendships pure and golden
But the ties of kinship I have not known them
I know no mother no father
No sister no brother
I am an orphan girl

But when He calls me I will be able
To meet my family at God's table
I'll meet my mother my father
My sister my brother
No more orphan girl

Blessed Savior make me willing
And walk beside me until I'm with them
Be my mother my father
My sister my brother
I am an orphan girl

Friday

not just what we eat but how we think!

summertime - and the eatin' is easy! dinner in our home in the warm months is often corn and artichokes. top it off with some watermelon and we are full and blissful! after reading michael pollen's THE OMNIVORES DELIMA - it became more important to me not just to eat as organically as possible but locally as well. not eating meats now and limiting processed foods the way we limit candy - our food options are narrowing quickly! BELOW IS SOME SCARY INFO! I WILL NOT BE TOLD WHAT I CAN AND CAN'T GROW FOR MY FAMILY! I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND BE TOLD THAT RAT POISON IS A SUITABLE FOOD SOURCE... please act. what could be better at this point than a good ol fashioned food fight!!!
*******************************************************

Please tell everyone who wants organic foods.....
US House and Senate are about (in a week and a half) to
vote on bill that will OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING (bill HR 875).
There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the
next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening.

Main backer and lobbyist is Monsanto – chemical and
genetic engineering giant corporation (and Cargill, ADM, and
about 35 other related agri-giants). This bill will require
organic farms to use specific
fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the
newly formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to
the public food supply". This will include backyard
gardens that grow food only for a family and not for sales.

If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds but only
Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now showing up
with unexpected diseases in humans.

There is a video on the subject.

And another one:

The name on this outrageous food plan is:
Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 (bill HR 875).
THIS IS REAL, FOLKS! PASS THIS ALONG TO ALL CONCERNED ON
YOUR MAILING LISTS & CALL YOUR SENATE REPRESENTETIVES
TODAY!
Get on that phone and burn up the wires. Get anyone else
you can to do the same thing. The House and Senate WILL pass
this if they are not massively threatened with loss of their
position.... They only fear your voice and your vote.
The best thing to do is go to www.house.gov/writerep
all you have to do is put in your zip and it will give you
your congressperson and how to get in touch with them. When
you call their office someone will answer the phone, just
tell them (politely) that you are calling to express your
views on HR 875.
Tell them your views, they'll take your name and
address and pass your comments along to the congressperson.

Wednesday

highs oh low

hello again my dear sweet invisibles. i've missed our connections dearly. this last year has been a whirl of activity here on our mountain. somehow it seems to have passed without ceremony as i have been lack slack ass in the accounting dept. not many photos taken fewer words spoken. it came time to get creative and buckle and invest in some sanity (i went out and bought myself a wireless card) and give myself the gift again and challenge of internet... i can't delve into detail just yet - but i can say this my friends - i'm less than whole without you. you my family. you my mentors. you my silent watchers and think-inkers.
my surroundings are a mess just now. but my soul is shining though the dust fairies and the folds. i just can't watch alone any longer and not be able to share.
